Inspiration

I share my life story through the highs and lows, from high school fame to West Point difficulties, through Army accomplishments to Army failures and injuries. Through these stories I share about not giving up and always looking at what goals I never thought I could accomplish.

Values

The Army values are not necessarily unique but instead lived and supported to death. It is the growth of my personal values and belief in the Army values gave me the ability to lead and recover from the serious injury’s I incurred. More importantly it is the development of the organizations values and implementation of those values that accomplishes a full understanding and support of the organization.

Personal Relationship with God

My personal relationship with God started at a very young age. However, it is this relationship that grew and wavered in the good and bad times. More so, it is this relationship that gave me direction and motivation to overcome a life threatening injury and live life to its fullest.

Accepting Change

Kotter’s 8 steps to change are relevant and impactful. However, it is through my life and the stories of accepting change that enabled me to accomplish and overcome obstacles that I never thought I could. Directing organizations through these steps, while incorporating personal life stories enables me to portray the importance of accepting, and adapting to life changes.

Leading in Extreme Environments

Life is not always a smooth ride. I demonstrate leading in extreme environments through West Point, Army training, and War. leadership depends not only on the leader but also the followers. Through multiple examples, I share how I was able to accomplish goals and complete the mission in very difficult times.

5 Steps of Grief

The 5 steps of grief are looked at by every organization, specifically the human resource department. I share how I was able to lead through these 5 steps. I am able to share and describe each step with my own personal stories and move the listen from one stage to the next. In conclusion, I hit on the importance of having an ultimate goal. By doing so it enables one to look beyond their current position.
