Bruce Marchiano

Bruce Marchiano is an actor, author, and international speaker best known for his actor's portrayal of Jesus as a Man of joy and passion in the film, The Gospel of Matthew.

Marchiano is also the founder of Marchiano Ministries, a non-profit organization reaching out to people both spiritually and practically in the USA and across the world.

As a professional actor, Marchiano has appeared in numerous television shows and independent films including Murder She Wrote, Colombo, L.A. Law, Days of Our Lives; The Girl on Green Street, Final Solution, The Legend of the Candy Cane, Faith Happens not to mention his most-celebrated film, The Gospel of Matthew. Recently, Marchiano reprised the role of Jesus in the 2011 PureFlix release, The Encounter, and the soon-to-be-released, The Last Supper and Encounter II. Also just completed, One Final Christmas, due for release in December 2011, and Encounter III is slated to shoot in 2012. Bruce also hosted the documentary specials Millennial Madness, Who is Jesus? and has appeared as a guest host on Canadian television's 100 Huntley Street.

As an author, Marchiano has penned several books on the life and person of Jesus. Among them are Jesus Yesterday, Today & Forever, Jesus Wept, Meeting Jesus, The Character of A Man and the bestselling, In the Footsteps of Jesus. Jesus Yesterday, Today & Forever, In the Footsteps of Jesus, and Jesus Wept have all been honored by the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association as Gold Medallion Finalists and Silver Medallion Award winners. Bruce's most recent release is Jesus, the Man Who Loved Women (Simon and Schuster), an expose' on the heart of Jesus for women.

As a popular Christian speaker, Marchiano has traveled throughout America and across the globe, addressing every imaginable venue from churches, universities, businesses, banquets, conferences to prisons, high schools, stadium events His message consistently centers on the person of Jesus--His heart, His love, His joy and goodness.

In portraying Jesus in Matthew, Marchiano's faith went from a simple belief in Jesus as Lord to a life-changing "encounter" with God's powerful reality. As a speaker, Marchiano typically shares Jesus through the testimony of that acting experience. Consequently, he has witnessed hundreds of thousands of people come to Jesus as Savior and otherwise be overwhelmed by His love.

As the founder and president of Marchiano Ministries, he is principally involved in the country of South Africa, speaking, sponsoring crusades, building churches in rural villages, and providing care for the AIDS orphans of the NorthWest Province. At the same time, he has undertaken a massive vision, to bring Jesus to the screen in a 45 million dollar production to be funded and distributed as an outreach ministry (as opposed to commercial film), titled Jesus No Greater Love. This film will be The Gospel According to John, word for word.

Marchiano has been highly present in the media, having enjoyed interviews with numerous national and international television and radio programs, as well as print/online publications. His appearances include The 700 Club, COPE, Among Friends, Open House, 100 Huntley Street, Good Morning Texas, Point-of-View, Midday Connection, and The Bible Answer Man, to name only a few.

To quote Marchiano, "I once separated myself for a time of seeking God, asking, 'What is my purpose, Father?' He revealed to me, 'The purpose for which I birthed you is to share My Son with My people; to take advantage of every opportunity I place before you whether it be film, print, personal appearance and give My people Jesus.'"
